As long as you can export/output your personnel list to a comma delineated file (.csv), or an Excel spreadsheet, you can easily import the list into The Randomizer. All of the enterprise HR systems we are aware of have this capability.
Will The Randomizer work with our enterprise HR system such as People Soft or Oracle?
Yes, The Randomizer will work with all versions of Excel and Google Drive spreadsheets, but you do need to save your spreadsheet as an .xls or .csv file. When saving your Excel or Google Drive spreadsheet for use with The Randomizer, save it as an "Excel 97-2003 Compatible Workbook," or a .xls or as a .csv (comma separated value) file and you'll be all set for import. To learn about saving .xls or .csv files check out our support page.

Can I run The Randomizer over our network?
Technically, no. The Randomizer has been tested with personnel lists with between 5,000 and 10,000 people without issue. Our testing has been done typically on machines with 1 GB or higher.

Yes. Simply set up a file (spreadsheet or text document) for each client and select the appropriate client list when the time comes.

I have an older version of The Randomizer, will my personnel files be compatible with the latest version, The Randomizer 2015?

Has The Randomizer held up in court as a valid random selection software program for drug and alcohol testing?
No. The Randomizer was designed to be a fast and easy tool for selecting names at random. MIS reports are comprehensive and for pre employment, post accident, reasonable cause, return to duty, and follow up testing. Our software only deals with random selection and relates to MIS reports in section III where numbers of random tests are required. If you need an MIS form go to this link. The Randomizer does not produce letters to send to those selected, but a simple mail merge from a Randomizer report spreadsheet can easily accomplish this task.
Does The Randomizer produce D.O.T. MIS reports, produce letters to mail to those who are selected or produce extensive reports?
As with the software itself, recordkeeping is easy with The Randomizer. As you pull randoms, make sure that you click on "Save List For Reporting" after each session, this action will create a new spreadsheet that included the names of the people who were selected. Any time that you need a report of who has been tested (year-end for example), simply pull up the spreadsheets created that were created in the reporting process and you'll be all set.
Year End Reporting and Recordkeeping.
